When it comes to ads and advertising for youtubers, ads usually play a big role in their lives. As these ads can contribute to how much they get paid. Things like youtube's advertising revenue sharing can allow creators to monetize their content and get paid. This could push youtubers to try and deliver high quality content. Some ads can be in the form of paid sponsorships, such as reviewing or talking about a product, like hardware or games. But ads sometimes are how youtubers make a living.
Ran out of gifs, lol
Even though ads are how some youtubers make their money, they are still somewhat annoying. I’ve clicked off videos just because an ad started playing right at the start, and don’t even get me started on youtube on those TVs or roku, they have like three ads and you can only skip after watching two. But according to a study on Youtube ads, most creators don't even earn a lot from these ads. Some youtubers just spam ads in certain parts of their videos which could annoy the viewers. According to “Study on Effectiveness of Video Advertising with Special Reference to YouTube Ads” by Aman Ravishanker, most smaller youtubers face problems with ads and making a steady income from it, usually putting more in their videos, which could easily frustrate the watcher and which can lead to hurt their channel growth overall.
